AIZAWL: In yet another success in its crusade against smuggling activities, the Lunglei Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles, under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) recovered of 2028 Kg of Ginseng in general area Lungkpuk, Lunglei on March 22.
The operation was carried out by a Assam Rifles, based on specific information. The approximate market value of the recovered Ginseng is Rs 1,21,68,000. The Customs Department of Lunglei, seized the contraband item. They also detained three individuals, stated a press release.
