Nagaland: YouthNet’s Achievements Receive Recognition from US Diplomat

Dimapur: Gloria Berbena, the US Embassy's Minister Counsellor for Public Diplomacy in New Delhi, conveyed her enthusiasm for YouthNet's significant efforts as one of Nagaland's top non-profits.The comments were made during a special interview about her official visit to the area that was conducted at YouthNet's office in Dimapur.

Berbena was accompanied by Aniruddha Biswas, the press and media manager, Sananda Mitra, the public engagement assistant, and Juan Clar, the deputy director of the American Centre in Kolkata.

Centre Manager Neikepekho Shosahie led the delegation in a fruitful discussion with YouthNet representatives, outlining the organization's goals and current initiatives. While highlighting the common objective of advancing inclusive values, growth, and significant impact, the conversations centred on investigating cooperative potential to deepen connections between Nagaland and the United States.

Berbena praised YouthNet's commitment to empowering young people and promoting socioeconomic development in Nagaland at the meeting. the respect and trust YouthNet has gained, as well as the noteworthy contributions it still makes to society through a variety of initiatives. Additionally, Berbena visited the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) initiative, the Mobile Repairing Training Program, where she engaged with learners and watched the program's practical approach to skill development.

The YouthNet Incubation Centre, Amazon Digital Marketplace, Made in Nagaland (MiN), IBM SkillsBuild Program, YouthNet Job Centre, Nagaland Education Project - The Lighthouse (NECTAR), Entrepreneurship Development Centre, Mobius Young Climate Leaders for Himalayan Development, Nagaland Forest Management Project, and Banana Fibre Extraction projects are just a few of the projects that YouthNet has shared information about. YouthNet continues to equip young people with the knowledge and tools necessary to contribute to society in a responsible and productive manner through these programs.
