Bharatiya Janata Party Appoints 10 District Prabharis in Tripura

The Bharatiya Janata Party has appointed 10 senior party leaders as district prabharis across the State.

AGARTALA: The Bharatiya Janata Party has appointed 10 senior party leaders as district prabharis across the State. The newly appointed state president, Abhisekh Debroy, appointed them to strengthen the party’s organisational base ahead of elections for the 587 Village Committees and 20 civic bodies, including the Agartala Municipal Corporation.

According to an official release, Abhijit Deb, a State Committee member, has been appointed prabhari for North Tripura, while State Secretary Malina Debnath has been given charge of Unakoti. State Vice-President Tapash Bhattacharjee will oversee Dhalai, and State Vice-President Tapash Majumdar has been assigned Khowai.

Bhagwan Ch. Das, State General Secretary, has been made prabhari for Sadar (Rural), while fellow State General Secretary Bipin Debbarma will look after Sadar (Urban). State Secretary Rathindra Jamatia has been assigned Sepahijala (North), and State Vice-President Ratan Ghosh will oversee Sepahijala (South).

State General Secretary Chandan Debnath has been appointed prabhari for Gomati, while State Secretary Nabadal Banik has been given charge of South (Pilak) district. After being appointed state president, revamping the organisational set-up was a major task for Abhisekh Debroy, and with the appointment of the prabharis, he has completed the process.
