AGARTALA: A complaint has been filed against YouTuber UK07 Rider for allegedly violating Tripura government regulations by filming videos and taking photographs inside the Ujjayanta Palace Museum. The Youth TIPRA Federation (YTF), the youth wing of TIPRA Motha, lodged the complaint at West Agartala police station, demanding legal action against both the YouTuber and the museum officials responsible.
YTF's West Tripura district president, Jitendra Debbarma, stated that the video uploaded on the UKO7 Rider channel breached government rules, as photography and videography inside the museum are strictly prohibited.
"Whether with or without permission from the authorities, as per our knowledge, recording videos and taking pictures inside the Ujjayanta Palace Museum-controlled and managed by the Higher Education Department, Government of Tripura-is strictly prohibited. The museum is a protected site under the rules framed by the Tripura Government regarding ancient historical monuments. Ujjayanta Palace is one of the pride landmarks of Northeast India," the complaint read.
The move followed directions from TIPRA Motha founder Pradyot Kishore Debbarma, who urged legal action. "Asking @ytitipra to file an FIR on how this person was allowed to film and shoot pictures at Ujjayanta Palace; if he was allowed, who gave him the permission?" Debbarma questioned on social media. Police are expected to investigate the matter and verify whether any permissions were granted for the filming.
