A 7-year-old minor girl was brutally murdered by cutting her throat by unidentified miscreants at Manjuli pathar village in Dhekiajuli on Thursday night.
Local people in the region suspected it a case of rape and murder and demanded a quick investigation into the matter.
Meanwhile, the body of the minor girl has been sent for post mortem.
On the other hand, police has detained the father of the deceased girl for interrogation, however, none have been arrested so far in relation to the matter.
