Senior leaders of Aanchalik Gana Morcha, Manjit Mahanta and Lachit Bordoloi met jailed KMSS leader and president of Raijor Dal, Akhil Gogoi on Friday (February 5) at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital. The meeting was about joining the grand alliance which have been formed by Congress-AIUDF, Aanchalik Gana Morcha and Left parties ahead of the Assam Assembly elections. Speaking to the media after the meeting with Akhil Gogoi, Mahanta and Bordoloi said that Gogoi has not given any statement in favour of the alliance. The Gana Morcha leaders said that all regional, nationalist parties have to align to defeat BJP. The meeting lasted for about an hour.
