Amid the rising number of COVID cases, Kamakhya temple board has decided to keep the shrine shut till this month end. The shrine, a prominent seat of worship for many, would remain closed even during the famous Ambubashi mela that started this morning. We visited the temple this morning and here is how it looked -- all quiet and deserted, all you can hear are the birds chirping.
