Assam Police arrested two people and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunitiotns from them. The police recovered five AK56 alongwith eight AK56 magazines, one HK33 E and magazine, eight Chinese hand grenades, 5 mobile handsets, 300 AK 56 ammunitions among other items.
The two arrested people are 35 years old Snmanjay Basumatary and 25 years old Rabinath Narzary, both residents of Kokrajhar.
Police said that investigation is on and operations are on to nab any other person involved in the movement of arms and ammunitions in the state.
