Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma has said that students from the state studying in Manipur have returned home
The CM, on Tuesday, said that the state administration did not evacuate them but only facilitated their return home
He also said that 2-3 students are still in Manipur as they didn’t wish to return as they felt safe there
The CM further said that around 2,000 families from Manipur had taken shelter in Cachar district but will start returning to their homes from Wednesday as the situation in Manipur is improving
