In a sensational robbery incident, bike borne miscreants robbed an employee of a private company named 'Settings' at Digboi-Duliajan Road today evening at around 7 pm.
As per reports, the bike borne miscreants chased the employee identified as Bidyut Duwara near jungles at Digboi-Duliajan Road and robbed of cash Rs 1 lakh 35 thousand.
Speaking before the media, the employee said that the miscreants first pelted stone upon him and chased him from the back, later; they threatened to chop him with the machete and took away the cash amount from his possession.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered in connection to the matter at Digboi Police Station (Case No 243/19) under section 392 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Furthermore, the Digboi Police under the supervision of the officer in charge, Mohesh Borah is carrying out an investigation.
