The residents of sub-division Tamulpur on Friday staged a massive protest against the Forest Department and sand and stone miners for allegedly carrying out illegal excavation over Bornadi river in the region which flows from the neighbouring country Bhutan. The workers carrying out the excavation later fled from the spot.
