On the occasion of World Mime Day, renowned mime artist Minanka Deka and his team under the initiative of 'Nirbak' conducted an awareness drive on 'Guwahati city cleanliness' on Monday in Guwahati Street.
The team distributed pamphlets among the citizens and urged them to not make the city unclean by spitting pan masala and gutkha everywhere.
Placards with slogans about cleanliness and hygiene were used to spread the word.
They performed mime at various places in Guwahati such as the Guwahati club, Dighalipukhuri, Cotton University, etc.
Speaking to the media, Minanka Deka said, "We have been organizing an awareness drive every year on World Mime Day. We have conducted the awareness drive to the cleanliness of Guwahati city. We have taken the awareness drive under the initiative of 'Nirbak'.
