Rain water from Bhutan Causes Havoc in Assam

The flood situation in areas of Chirang and Bongaigaon of lower Assam is fast turning grim. The Aai river is flowing above the danger level threatening to inundate more areas. The river is overflowing as rain water from Bhutan is adding to its water level. Assam's Food and Civil Supplies Minister Phani Bhushan Choudhury was seen on board a NDRF boat taking stock of the flood situation in Bongaigaon. Rescue operation by NDRF and SDRF is underway.
