The Tea Labourers on Saturday gheraoed Margherita Tea Estate head office demanding 20% bonus ahead of Durga Puja celebrations next week.
Notably, the announcement of a 10% bonus ahead of the Durga Puja Celebration by the tea garden management led to an uproar in the tea estate.
Meanwhile, police personnel and CRPF jawans have been deployed in the area to bring down the situation under control.
