Several BJP members in Lahorighat burned the effigy of Mandal President Shankar Basumatary on Saturday.
As per reports, the BJP members alleged that Shankar Basumatary is a nonresident and doesn't belong to Lahorighat, therefore, the agitated members urged for immediate suspension of Basumatary from his post as Mandal President at Lahorighat.
