NEW DELHI: Mirra Andreeva made her Top 10 debut in the latest WTA Rankings released on Monday after clinching the biggest title of her fledgling career last week. Andreeva defeated Denmark’s Clara Tauson 7-6(1), 6-1 in the final of the Dubai Tennis Championships on Saturday, becoming the youngest player to win a WTA 1000 title at the age of 17 years and 298 days. As a result, Russia’s Andreeva has also became the first 17-year-old to be ranked in the Top 10 since Nicole Vaidisova in 2007. She moved up five places to occupy the ninth spot. Agencies
