Assam Wins 16 Medals in Federation Cup Wushu Championship

Assam bagged sixteen medals including 2 Gold, 3 Silver and 11 Bronze medals in the 8th Federation Cup Wushu Championship that concluded recently in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh.

GUWAHATI: Assam bagged sixteen medals including 2 Gold, 3 Silver and 11 Bronze medals in the 8th Federation Cup Wushu Championship that concluded recently in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. Assam team, comprising of Riki Kharka and Manish Chettri won a gold medal in Dulian event.

Other medal winners:  Taolu/ Traditional Kung-Fu Events: Sanjib kr Singh (Gold in Nandao and Bronze in Nanquan events). Rongila Daimary (Silver in Nangun and Bronze in Nandao). Deeksha Tewari (Bronze in Nanquan and Nangun ). Jyotirmann Borah (Bronze in Chanquan and Gunshu). Riki Kharka (Bronze in Nangun). Manish Chettri (Bronze in Jianshu event). 

Sanda (Free Fighting)  event: Priya Boro (Silver in below 45 Kg). Amina Kujur (Silver in below 48 Kg). Phulsri Brahma (Bronze medal in 52 Kg). Khwrmdaw Basumatary (Bronze medal in 65 Kg). Swarangsri Daimary (Bronze medal in below 60kg).
