LONDON: Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz continued to occupy the top two spots in the latest ATP Rankings released on Monday, after competing against each other in the Wimbledon final.
The 23-year-old Sinner is the fifth player to go past 12,000 ranking points after Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray since 1990. He now leads Alcaraz by 3,430 ranking points.
USA’s Taylor Fritz, who lost to Alcaraz in the semifinals, returned to his career high ranking of four while British hope Jack Draper, who suffered a second-round defeat to former runner-up Marin Cilic, slipped to fifth.
New Wimbledon champion Iga Swiatek rose to third while runner-up Amanda Anisimova made her Top 10 debut in the latest WTA Rankings. Agencies
