PANAJI: Lalremruata Ralte’s goal in the fifth minute of stoppage time earned Churchill Brothers a dramatic 2-2 draw against Inter Kashi in a potential I-League title decider at the Raia Panchayat ground in Goa on Sunday.
Nikol Stojanovic struck in the 65th to help overturn a 0-1 deficit to put Inter Kashi in the lead after Edmund Lalrindika had equalised two minutes earlier.
The Goan side tops the standings on 39 points and will need just a point in its final match, against Real Kashmir on April 5, to clinch the title and secure promotion into the Indian Super League.
Meanwhile, Kashi had lost the previous clash 1-3 against Churchill. With head-to-head being the decider, the Antonio Lopez Habas’s side is thus out of the title race. Agencies
