No Indian in Men's ODI Team of the Year

Sentinel Digital Desk

DUBAI, Jan 20: No Indian cricketer has made the cut for the ICC Mens ODI Team of the Year for 2021 as Pakistan captain Babar Azam was made the captain for the eleven on Thursday. Incidentally, Azam was made captain of the ICC Men's T20I Team of the Year on Wednesday which too didn't have any Indian representation.

It is also the first time since the inception of the Men's ODI Team of the Year honour in 2004 that there are no Indian cricketers in the eleven. It could also be put down to the fact that India played just six ODIs in 2021, three each against England and Sri Lanka.
