Santiago: Divij Sharan and New Zealand’s Artem Sitak progressed to the quarterfinals of the Chile Open here. The third-seeded Indo-Kiwi pair defeated the Brazilian duo of Thiago Monteiro and Fernando Romboli 7-6, 7-6.
Sharan and Sitak played a very confident game right from the start. With a few aces up their sleeves and points from the first serve and second serve, Sharan and Sitak smoothly sealed their quarter-final berth.
The Indo-Kiwi duo will now face Spaniards Roberto Carballes Beena and Alejandro Fokina. (IANS)
