Horse Racing In Bangalore Postponed To November 2

The stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club have decided to postpone the first day’s races from October 31 to November 2, 2021 as per the directions received from the police authority,

Bangalore: Following the death of Puneeth Rajkumar, the Bangalore Turf Club club has decided to postpone the Bangalore races, a horse racing, which was scheduled to begin on Sunday.

"The stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club have decided to postpone the first day's races from October 31 to November 2, 2021 as per the directions received from the police authority," the club said in a statement.

Now, the Bangalore races will be held from November 2, 2021.

On Friday, after a massive heart attack, the actor passed away at the age of 46. Soon after that security was beefed up across Karnataka.

Former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda, Karnataka Congress President D.K. Shivakumar, and former Union minister S.M. Krishna expressed their condolences on the untimely death of Puneeth.

The club also announced the withdrawal of two jockeys from Bangalore Winter Meeting 2021-2022.

According to notice from the Club, these named A.Ashhad Asbar and Nazerul Alam have withdrawn on veterinary grounds.
