LONDON: Jasprit Bumrah picked up yet another five-wicket haul, his fifteenth overall, during the third Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy at Lord’s on Friday.
The pacer registered his 13th fifer away from home in just 35 matches, breaking Kapil Dev’s record of 12 in 66 games.
Despite going wicketless with the new ball in his opening spell on Day 1, Bumrah managed to beat the defence of Harry Brook in the third session of play.
The 31-year-old then scalped three quick wickets with the new ball on the second morning, removing skipper Ben Stokes and centurion Joe Root, before forcing an outside edge off Chris Woakes first ball.
The pace spearhead then bowled the returning Jofra Archer for four in the second session to complete his five-wicket haul. Agencies
