London: England pacer Jofra Archer believes his side can create history and make a World Cup double by winning next year’s World T20 slated to be held in Australia.

Earlier this year, England defeated New Zealand to win their maiden 50-over World Cup. “Hopefully, we can win the T20 World Cup next year,” Archer told The Telegraph. “We want to climb the rankings in the Test Championship. I think we can make history. We have started already.

“Hopefully, we can win back-to-back (World Cups). Who’s to say we can’t? Everyone is around the same age in the group we have got together. We will be together for a lot more years.”

Jofra Archer played a crucial role in England’s successful campaign and picked up 20 wickets in the 11 matches he played. He followed it up by having a spectacular debut Test series at the 2019 Ashes, where he scalped 22 wickets at an average of 20.27 in four matches. England will now be touring New Zealand for five T20Is and two-Test series beginning November 1. IANS
