DEMOW: Under the patronage of Demow Handball Club, the 39th edition of the Abhiruchi Sports Day was celebrated in Demow Public Playground on Saturday with a day long programne. As per the Schedule, the programme started with mass run which was flagged off by Kulendu Kumar Huzuri, OC of Demow Police Station. The flag on Abhiruchi Sports Day was unfurled by Sushanta Borgohain, MLA of Thowra constituency. The flag of Demow Handball Club was unfurled by Arup Kumar Dutta, President of Demow Handball Club. Manjur Ali, Secretary as well as Coach of Demow Handball Club anchored in the flag hoisting programme.
A felicitation programme was organized on the occasion where the players and sports organizers were felicitated. A handball competition of boys and girls were also organized.
