NALBARI: The 38th Abhiruchi Sports Day was celebrated on Friday with a brief function at Nalbari.
September 3 is the birth day of first Arjuna Awardee Assam athlete BhogeswarBarua. The Day has been being celebrated with various functions at different places of the district for the last 37 years.
Sports organizer Balendra Mohan Chakravarty, district sports secretary Manoj Kumar Choudhury and many sports lovers along with many sports organizations joined the rally at Gurdon field. Due to COVID-19 pandemic the district organizers had cut short manyprogrammes.
Synchronising the objectives of the Day, Pachim Nalbari Press Club and AJYCP unit felicited national football referee Hiren Barman at Chamata.
