Guwahati: Assam State Electricity Board Sports Club (ASEBSC) secured a convincing 6-wicket win against River Rine Club in the 7th Assam Premier Club Cricket Championship at Jagiroad on Friday.
River Rine Club, opting to bat first, scored 220 for 8 in their 40 overs. Pratap Das played a stellar innings, scoring 80 runs off 63 balls with 8 boundaries, while Karan contributed a steady 56 off 86 balls with 3 boundaries.
ASEBSC comfortably chased the target in 36.5 overs, losing just four wickets. Sankuman Mahanta (77 runs off 89 balls, 7 boundaries) and Chayanmoni Das, who remained unbeaten with 72 runs off 82 balls (8 boundaries), led the charge with remarkable half-centuries.
