GUWAHATI: Assam will take on Manipur in the 1st quarter finals in Senior National Women Football Championship at Kuthuparamba, Kerala on Sunday. The match will kick off at 9-30 in the morning.
In the group stage Assam made a splendid performance and won all three matches. In the first game they thrashed Rajasthan by 7-0 and it was followed by another big victory over Bihar (8-1) in the second match. The side beat Himachal Pradesh 2-1 in their final group league game.
Sonia Marak, who scored 7 goals in previous three matches, is now in third position in the highest scorers chart in this edition of the meet.
