GUWAHATI: Assam won five medals on day III in the Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG) at Panchkula today. Among the five medals four came in Thang-Ta and the other one in Yogason. Raja Singh gave the first gold medal to Assam in Thang-Ta. Manali Gogoi, Urmila Sarma and Suraj Sinha were the other medal winners in this event. Manali and Urmila collected silver medals while Suraj bagged a bronze. On the other hand Sumit Dey bagged a silver medal in Yogasan. With these five medals Assam took their tally to 9 which included 1 gold, 6 silver and 2 bronze.
