GUWAHATI: The Assessment-cum-Training Camp for the selected athlete got under way on Tuesday at the Arjun Bhogeswar Baruah Sports Complex at Sarusajai. The camp was formally inaugurated by Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Nandita Gorlosa.
A total of 554 athletes from various disciplines, selected through the second edition of Khel Maharan, are participating in this month-long training program. The opening ceremony was also graced by the Director of Sports and Youth Welfare, Pradip Timung, along with Arjuna awardees Jayanta Talukdar and Nayanmoni Saikia.
