GUWAHATI: Barpeta lifted the RG Baruah Inter District Cricket title defeating Dhemaji by 70 runs in the final at the ACA Stadium, Barsapara on Tuesday.
Invited to bat first Barpeta, rode on a good knock from Rajiv Lochan Das (89), scored 212-6 in 35 overs. Dhemaji bowled out 142 in 31.3 overs thanks to nice spells from Ujjal Das (4-37) and Bishnu Das (3-13).The closing function of the meet was attended by several top officials of the Assam Cricket Association including president Romen Dutta and Secretary Devajit Saikia.
Individual awards:Man of the Series: Hrishikesh Das (Barpeta), Best Bowler: Bijoy Singh (Dhemaji), Best Batsman: Victor Kashyap (Guwahati).
Man of the Match (Final): Rajiv Lochan Das (Barpeta).
