NAGAON: The 27th Bodo Swahid Cup Football Tournament, organized by the Bodo Martyrs Trust and Langhin Tini Ali Sports Association, has reached an exciting stage. Thabal FC from Hojai has entered the semifinals of the tournament, defeating Dongkamongkam Sports Association from West Karbi Anglong 3-0 in the last quarterfinals.
In the match played at Garaimari playground in Langhin, Thabal FC's J Bie scored the first goal in the 23rd minute. Mahesh Chand and Chana Thoe scored the other two goals in the 24th and 34th minutes respectively, to seal the victory for Thabal FC.
The match was officiated by referee Dhanesh Shah and assisted by Baju Ticho, Aman Bordoloi, and Nijam Tamuli.
According to Tonkeshwar Khakhlari, general secretary of Langhin Tini Ali Sports Association, and Kiran Basumatary, secretary of Bodo Martyrs trust, the first semifinal match will be played between Kotahaguri FC, Raha and Falcon FC, Kherani from West Karbi Anglong at 2 pm tomorrow.
