JORHAT: C4 emerged champions of the 2nd All Assam Inter Coaching Centre Tournament (U-12-14), defeating JCCC by 27 runs in the final held in Jorhat today.
Batting first, C4 posted 113 for 9 in 25 overs, with skipper Prachujya Pran Kalita scoring a steady 31. Bihan Baruah and Abhinab Kashyap picked up two wickets each for JCCC.
In reply, JCCC were bowled out for 86 in 22.2 overs. Bihan Baruah was the top scorer with 18 runs, while Rituraj Das claimed three wickets.
Prachujya Pran Kalita was named Man of the Match and also adjudged the Most Valuable Player of the tournament. Urvansh Bhattacharya won the Best Batter award, while Rituraj Das was named Best Bowler.
