Guwahati: Dibrugarh and Chirang emerged as champions in the women’s and men’s categories of the Above 17 Khel Maharan Football Tournament at Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati on Sunday.
In the women’s final, Dibrugarh triumphed over Kokrajhar 3-1 in a dramatic penalty shootout after the match ended in a 0-0 draw. Meanwhile, in the men’s final, Chirang dominated Nagaon with a commanding 3-0 victory to clinch the title.
