GUWAHATI: Digaru Viranganas emerged victorious in the ACA Women’s Challengers Trophy 2025, defeating Subhansiri Champs by 38 runs in the final held at the Annexe Ground, ACA Stadium, Guwahati on Monday.
Elected to field, Subhansiri Champs restricted Digaru Viranganas to 139 in 35.5 overs in their allotted 36 overs. Avantika Munda anchored the innings with a composed knock of 69 off 92 balls. The Subhansiri Champs’ bowling unit performed well, with Karabi Bhakta (2/19), Florina Taye (2/25), and Priyanka Baruah (2/25) took two-wicket each.
In response, Subhansiri Champs were bowled out for 101 in 22 overs despite a valiant effort from Manikha Das (29 off 22 balls) and Shivani Bishnoi (28 off 23 balls). Digaru Viranganas’ bowlers delivered a disciplined performance, led by Priyanka Kalita who claimed five-wicket (5/42). She got good support from Urmilla Chatterjee (2/16).
