GUWAHATI: Channel swimmer Elvis Ali Hazarika will attempt to cross Dharamtar Jetty to Gateway of India course, Mumbai with his relay partner Rimo Saha on November 23. The total length of this part of Arabian Sea is around 38 kilometres and it will take nearly 12 hours to reach finishing point.
Disclosing the news Elvis said, this event was the part of his preparation for the proposed North Channel Swimming which he will attempt next year.
On the forthcoming expedition the former international swimmer said, "We will start swimming on the midnight of November 23 and are expecting to reach the finishing point around 12 noon on the same day. Maharashtra Swimming Association will provide neccessery assistance to both of us during the swimming".
