GUWAHATI: Former cricketer and coach Utpal Kalita died in a tragic road accident near Goalpara today. He was 36. Kalita played district level cricket for Goalpara and was also the part of last year's coaching staffs in the Assam Cricket Academy. The incident occurred when Kalita was on way to Goalpara by his car from Guwahati. The car first turned turtle near Barbala and hit a tree. Utpal was rushed to the nearby hospital where he was declared dead. Another passenger travelling with Kalita was injured in the incident.
