GUWAHATI: Former Ranji cricketer Pankaj Tamuli died in the city yesterday after prolonged illness. He was 36 years old and left behind mother, brother wife and a son. The talented off-spinner - who hailed from Digboi - made his Ranji Trophy debut against Punjab in the season 2002-03 at Nehru Stadium in the city. The president and secretary of the Assam Cricket Association Romen Dutta and Devajit Saikia had mourned the untimely demise of Tamuli.
