GUWAHATI: Guwahati made winning start in the Junior Inter District Football Tournament at Tihu today. Guwahati in their inaugural match defeated Barpeta by 3-1. Ajit Thapa opened the account in 55 minutes and later Rudreswar Thapa and Sailendra Prasad scored two more goals in 67 and 76 minutes respectively.
