Jorhat Swimmers Shine, Retain Medal Lead in Assam State Aquatics

Jorhat swimmers top the medal tally after strong performances on Day II of the 32nd Assam State Aquatic Championship at Sarusajai Sports Complex.

GUWAHATI: Jorhat swimmers delivered an impressive performance to stay  the top position in the medal tally after day II at the 32nd Assam State Aquatic Championship, held at the Sarusajai Sports Complex here today.

Jorhat finished with a total of 120 medals, including 45 gold, 44 silver, and 31 bronze. Kamrup secured the second position with 29 gold, 28 silver, and 25 bronze medals. Sivasagar were at  third place, earning a total of 22 medals—6 gold, 5 silver, and 11 bronze.

Assam’s Sports and Youth Welfare Miniister, Nandita Gorlosa, attended the medal ceremony and presented awards to the winners.
