TINSUKIA: A preparedness meeting on the forthcoming Chief Minister's Under-19 Tea Tribes and Adivasi Football Tournament was held at DC’s conference hall on Monday with Chinmoy Pathak ADC in the chair. The meeting was attended by MLAs’ representatives, District Sports Officer Kaushik Rajkhowa, BCMS, ACMS, ACKS and All Assam Adivasi Students’ Association besides officials from concerned departments. The participants extended various suggestions to make the football tournament a success and popular in the district.
They also urged the organizers to conduct the tournament games in accordance with the rules and regulations and to provide adequate drinking water and necessary first aid facilities for the players in each game. The ADC Chinmoy Pathak has sought the cooperation of all the participants for the smooth and successful conduct of the next matches of the Under-19 Chief Minister's Tea Tribes and Adivasi Football Tournament. He also directed the District Sports Officer to ensure adequate drinking water and first aid for the players in every game.
