GUWAHATI: Rain continued to play spoilsport in the final of the Nuruddin Ahmed Senior Inter-District Cricket Championship between NFRSA and Guwahati, with the second day of play also being washed out due to a wet outfield.
With both the opening days lost to rain, the remaining two days of the match have now become crucial as a first-innings lead could prove decisive in determining the winner of the tournament.
It is worth noting that the final was originally set to begin on May 31 but was postponed due to persistent heavy rainfall. The match was rescheduled to start from June 5, but the weather has continued to disrupt proceedings.
