Larsing Ming Sawyan, who was invited as the guest speaker, delivered a power point presentation on the topic “Northeast as a Sports Hub” where he made an elaborate and analytical observation of the current and future sporting potential of the entire northeastern region. According to Ming North East already emerges as the Sports Hub of the country. “Once Punjab, Haryana, Maharashtra… are the states which produced players on regular basis. But the scenario is now changed. Now there would be hardly any Indian team which can be selected barring a player from North East. Day by day the numbers of promising players are increasing. At present nearly 14,000 young players from North East are getting regular training at the different SAI centers,” said Ming.
