GUWAHATI: Triranga Cricket Coaching Centre clinched a convincing 76-run victory over Rhinoland Cricket Academy in the 10th Sitaram Chhawchharia Memorial U-19 Cricket Tournament held at the NFRSA Stadium in Maligaon on Saturday.
Opting to bat first, Triranga posted a total of 206 runs before being bowled out in 39.4 overs. Sidhyan Mahato led the charge with a solid knock of 74 off 96 balls, hitting four boundaries and two sixes. He was well supported by Kabir Hassan Deshmukh (45) and Dipankar Paul (31), who added valuable runs to the scoreboard.
For Rhinoland, Achyut Das delivered an impressive bowling performance, claiming five wickets for 46 runs. In response, Rhinoland Cricket Academy struggled to build partnerships despite a valiant 66-run effort by Nishant Saikia off 89 deliveries, including four boundaries and a six. The team was eventually bowled out for 130 in 35 overs.
Shaurya Yadav was the pick of the bowlers for Triranga, finishing with exceptional figures of 4 for 19 in his 8 overs, sealing a comprehensive win for his side.
