NEW DELHI: Former Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova made a massive jump to return to Top 100 in the latest WTA Rankings released on Monday, which will be used for this year’s draw at the grass Major. The 25-year-old Czech was ranked 164th in the world prior to last week’s Berlin Open. In a stunning title-winning run at the WTA 500 event, Vondrousova beat World No. 6 Madison Keys (first round), World No. 12 Diana Shnaider (second round) and World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka (semifinal). As a result, she moved up 91 spots to 73rd. The draw for this year’s Wimbledon will be held on Friday and an year after her first-round exit as the defending champion, unseeded Vondrousova will be keen to make amends. Agencies
