NEUFC to face Jamshedpur FC in playoffs on March 30

The Indian Super League (ISL) has announced the 2024-25 playoff schedule. Six teams will compete, with the final set for April 12. NEUFC hosts Jamshedpur FC in a crucial knockout match on March 30.

GUWAHATI: The Indian Super League (ISL) has officially announced the dates for the 2024-25 playoffs. NorthEast United FC (NEUFC), finished fourth in the league phase, will host Jamshedpur FC in the crucial playoff match on March 30 at their home ground in Shillong.

A total of six teams have confirmed their places in the playoffs: Mohun Bagan SG, FC Goa (2nd), Bengaluru FC (3rd), NorthEast United FC (4th), Jamshedpur FC (5th), and Mumbai City FC (6th). In the playoffs, teams ranked third to sixth will compete in two single-legged knockout matches to determine who will face the top two teams, Mohun Bagan SG and FC Goa, who have earned direct entry to the semi-finals.

The semi-finals will be played in a home-and-away format, with the winners advancing to the final, scheduled for April 12.

Playoffs Schedule: March 29: Knockout 1 – Bengaluru FC vs Mumbai City FC (Bengaluru).  March 30: Knockout 2 – NorthEast United FC vs Jamshedpur FC (Shillong).  April 2: Semi-final 1 (First leg) – Winner of Knockout 1 (home) vs FC Goa. April 3: Semi-final 2 (First leg) – Winner of Knockout 2 (home) vs Mohun Bagan SG. April 6: Semi-final 1 (Second leg) – FC Goa (home) vs Winner of Knockout 1. April  7: Semi-final 2 (Second leg) – Mohun Bagan SG (home) vs Winner of Knockout 2.  April 12: Final – Winner of Semi-final 1 vs Winner of Semi-final 2.
