NEW DELHI: Zimbabwe cricketer Sikandar Raza has filed a complaint against local coach Blessing Mafuwa over alleged racial abuse during a domestic match.
The incident reportedly occurred on June 1 during a game between Old Hararians and Rainbow Cricket Club at the Old Hararians Sports Club.
According to reports, Mafuwa has been placed under interim suspension pending a disciplinary hearing.
“We received a report of racial abuse that our T20 captain (Raza) suffered last week. We are in the process of investigating. Blessing Mafuwa will attend a hearing this coming Tuesday. He will answer charges from the report. In the interim, he is suspended from all activities in the HMCA,” said Harare Metropolitan Cricket Association chairperson Tafadzwa Madoro. Agencies
