GUWAHATI: Assam on Monday recorded 124 new COVID-19 positive cases taking the number of infected persons to 1,485.
On other hand, 99 patients were discharged on the same day taking the total recoveries to 284. Altogether 1,172 patients are undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile, a new lab in collaboration between GMCH and Institute of Advance Study for Science & Technology was inaugurated on Monday to ramp up testing facilities. The State has so far conducted 1 lakh COVID-16 tests and is set to increase the number up to 2 lakh by June 15.
