GUWAHATI: The Assam Assembly on Saturday passed the Vote on Account of Rs 60,784.03 crore for a period of six months from April 1 to September 30. It was the last day of the last session of the 14th Assam Assembly. The House also passed the Assam Municipal Employees' Bill which would pave the way for 1,600 contractual municipal employees to get salaries and other perks at par with regular employees of the State Government. The last day's session was held at the newly constructed building of Assam Assembly.
