GUWAHATI: As many as 1,067 fresh COVID-19 cases were detected in the State on Thursday when 17 people died of the pandemic. While the positivity rate in the State during the day was 0.81 per cent, the recovery rate was 96.96 per cent. The highest number of positive cases was 202 in Kamrup Metro district. It was followed by Lakhimpur with 72 cases, Golaghat 76 and Sivasagar with 70 cases.
